FORTnITE

As promised, Epic Games studios revealed at Spike TV VGA Awards the name of the new game in development at studios in North Carolina.

FORTnITE combines elements found in this tower defense titles, strategy, survival horror and shooter. During the day the players will have to build a fortress that at night will have to be protected from attacks by hordes of zombies.

It is unknown what platforms the game will be released, but chances are that it is available only for Xbox and PlayStation.

Command & Conquer: Generals 2

Electronic Arts announced that in 2013 will be released exclusively for PC the strategy Command & Conquer: Generals 2, in development at BioWare Victory.

The game will benefit from cutting-edge graphics and effects due to Frostbite 2’s engine and will put players in the role of superpower leaders at war with terrorist organizations, there will be three controllable factions in both single-player campaign and multiplayer modes co-op or versus.

Stronghold 3 release date set

Firefly Studios announced that the release date for Stronghold 3 was set for October 25.

“We want to thank the fans for the patience they had and we assure them that we realized something exceptional. It is the best game in the series and includes the elements of previous titles and new features such as sieges, night and new graphics engine, “said Simon Bradbury – Firefly Studios lead designer.

Trion Worlds revealed plans to launch End of Nations next year, although he would have wanted the game to be released on the market before the end of this year.

The title promises to be the greatest strategy game to date, in the co-op or PvP battles can participate more than 50 players.

According to Joystiq, the strategy game – From Dust will be launched by Ubisoft for PC on August 17 and for Xbox will be available tomorrow.

Created by Eric Chahal together with Ubisoft Montreal studios and inspired by Populous series, the title will put players in the role of an omnipotent god who must protect a tribe and manipulate the landscape so that the minions can reach the end of levels.

Cities XL 2012

Today Focus Home Interactive revealed the first images of Cities XL 2012, the newest version of the popular PC city-building simulation, which allows you to build, develop and then connect huge cities.

Castle Empire

Blue Byte studio responsible for The Settlers series, are working on developing a browser based game free-to-play entitled Empire Castle to be distributed by Ubisoft.

Players will need to establish an empire on which to develop using the over 40 types of buildings and 9 types of military units.

Those interested in participating in beta testing are invited to register on the official site.

Prime World

Nival Interactive announces that by the end of the year the beta-test for the strategy game Prime World will start.

Developed using Unity 3D engine, it will be available as browser based game, but will have a stand-alone client, and will combine PvP sessions (an inspired way of DotA) with those in which players must develop their castle.

There exist several different heroes with skills that will be used as leaders of armies, players can get the edge over your enemies with Terraforming system that allows them to capture the objectives on the map.
